Identification plates printed for vintage car restoration projects,
equipment and just about anything you need identified. Plates or ID
tags are printed on enamel coated aluminum. Coated aluminum comes in
brushed gold, brushed silver and pure white. Aluminum is coated with a
clear gloss polyester finish. Printed text and images are embedded
within this finish. Black ink and other dark colors look best on gold
and silver aluminum. All colors look great on white base. Colors on
gold and silver must be given some thought as some colors when printed
over the silver and gold base will not print like the color you get
when printed over white. For instance, blue printed on gold appears
greenish and red on silver picks up a hue leaning to a bright but deep
orange and not the deep red you would get when printed on white.
